Instructions on Writing in Layers

from the present moment of each day

write one journal page  

one layer per day for seven days
taking care not to turn the page

the layers pile-up on top of one another

one layer at a time, times 7.

select colors of intuitive vibrancy

and have them dance vertically

one layer to another.
 

the incontrovertible truth of written creativity

looks like

      freedom to play with words.

sounds like

          giving “voice” to the words never said

          “bad” words emerge good  and

          “naughty” words reflect humor  and

           curse words exercise anger.

feels like

      words wet with tears of sorrow

      words smooth with the silk of evening

      words flexible and of double meaning.
 

it is good to throw-all on journal page

no matter how sweet or brave or violent or fair

seven layers of journal writing

is always ALWAYS a beautiful image to behold.
