Dance of Life
I sit in my Missouri garden witnessing life
bursting into color in air
scented with
June’s rain.
I think of
Lisa whispering to her 11-week old
in-uterine
baby she waits
as Baby B
slips back into her womb
as Baby A
hangs precariously on edge
as if swung by a star
Lisa waits in
her beloved California sun
surrounding
tiny A with golden light the
sunshine of her spirit
She lies in
soundless listening
oh, so subtle
a share of silence
as she
separates from real and
folds into
fantasy lit by her child and
they float in
symbiotic fluid of spirit
each
breathing breath of the other and
It is here
at this point that
Mother
Nature is Queen and in charge
her cool
hand stroking mother's furrowed brow. She hums
There now,
dwell not in heartache for
you are mine and all is well, all is well.
Sleep as myriads of living things rooted
in earthly soil bow to you in sweet salute.
