Through a Cat's Eye
original poster 16x20

Cool rainy spring morning~ the sky a luminous blue-white~ the trees magnificent
in 10,000 shades of fresh green~ formerly bare branches glow as sunshine burrows under bark~ I can hear the creek rushing after the fullness of rain~ Jack sits still on the window sill behind the Boston fern that needs watering~ time rests as Jack watches the world from his 4th floor perch~ cats see through present moment eyes and each moment pulls irresistibly~ within this morning space I look out the window with Jack as the creek outgrows its banks and courses to relief~ white foam moves in swirls~ the stair step falls lose their steps under swells of thick cold water~ we listen to the sound of edge~ a tense unstoppable surge over the path of my evening walks~ life slows as I rigidly observe my fear of letting go the already gone~ I turn and am here in this morning with Jack~ a moment realized~ the where I have always wanted to be.
