Moving Day in June ~ we began
our life together in a quaint apartment on the Plaza in Kansas City, MO.
~ we were delighted to live in this 1930s classic, the Mark
Twain ~ the picture at left is the freight elevator in our building ~ Mary
caught us moving boxes up to the 4th floor and said, "smile" ~ behind us,
in black crayon, is the warning, "Capacity 1500 lbs" ~ we lived
simply and the yellow painted walls in our home never heard an argument or a disparaging word ~ words are potent carriers of emotional energy ~
House Rules: if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all ~ love yourself so that others can,
too ~ don't mess with the other's stuff ~ never yell in the home ~ don't
even try to change the other ~ no outside shoes worn in~ home is a soft landing for both. |
